After taking National Best of Breed (NBOB) honors at the 2008 Chinook National Specialty held in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Finn is now enjoying his retirement while watching Tana do all the work in the show ring!  Finn is only the third Chinook to hold the UKC title National Best of Breed...A major accomplishment indeed!

Finnegan is a result of a breeding done at Hurricane Chinooks.  His dam is CH 'PR' Hurricane Keeper and his sire, also located at Hurricane Chinooks, is GRCH 'PR' Rain Mountain Estanislao.  He was born on 4/20/2005.

The Many Stages of Ears

Chinook puppies have an amazing ability to change their ears; in both size and shape; almost on a daily basis.  Here are some pictures of Finnegan from the time we first welcomed him home throughout his "ear-growth" phases:

As a pup - Ears are down (for now)                 At  4 months - Flaps are up                     At  5 months - Ready for Take-off        At 6 months - Ears down, head too big

At  7 months - What happened?                  No, the bandana does NOT help              At 8 months - Are they really staying?         At  9 months - Down for good!
