The Pack - UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Hi, we’re Karen and Dave Schiller of MountainThunder Chinooks, also known as our home, located in Fort Collins, Colorado.  We first “met” the Chinook breed as a result of searching on-line for a new family pet.  Once we discovered pictures of the Chinook, and read about their temperament, their rich American heritage, and their limited numbers, we were intrigued to find out more.  We hope you will visit the Chinook Owners Association to read more about the history of this All-American treasure. 

Terra - CH 'PR' MountainThunder Terra Tomah 4/13/20212 -
Tana gave birth to her second litter in April, 2012, which yielded us our next female: MountainThunder Terra Tomah.  Terra is  named after one of our favorite peaks along Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.  Terra was one of two pups in this litter, and she, along with her brother MountainThunder Cascade Tyee, have already participated in conformation shows in both the UKC and AKC. 

Eva -  MountainThunder Mt. Evans 8/31/2017 - 
Little Eva was one of three in the Peak-to-Peak litter.  Our first buff Chinook and one of the sweetest we've ever had!  She arrived on August 31, 2017 and is quite the lover girl!  Not a big fan of showing in the ring, but she loves to play and romp with her pack!  Oh, yes, and Christmas is her favorite day!









Hawkins -  WyoChinookWinds Hawkins 5/12/2022 -
Hawkins is the grandson of our own Terra Tomah and was born in Casper, WY.  The pups in the litter were named after famous drummers: Ringo, Charlie, Ginger, and Moon.  Ringo is now Hawkins...named after Taylor Hawkins, so keeping the drummer theme going!  He loves going for hikes and anywhere he gets to go in the car.  And yes, Chinooks know many words, so we have to spell a lot!




Penny - Barkerville Penny from Heaven 9/11/2023 -
Penny had an interesting introduction to our world.  Not only being born on 9/11, but when she was 6 weeks old, there was an incident in her home town of Lewiston, ME.  A shooter terrorized the town but imagine having to go out to do your business when helicopters and sirens were going off all around for several days.  We are very happy with her as she is a sweet, loving chinook who has shown in several UKC events and is readying for the AKC.
